Double Steady-State Creep Behavior in Solid-Solute-Strengthened Zircaloy-4

چکیده
Long-term creep tests on the solid-solute-strengthened zirconium alloy, i.e., Zircaloy-4, revealed presence of double steady-state behavior at 623–673 K. The first steady state manifested as a faster strain rate (ε) ∼0.05, and second appeared with slower ε > 0.1. Several electron microscopy change in dislocation structure during from motion individual dislocations to generation cell structure. Along this change, stress exponent differed each state, increasing 6.7 10 state. temperature dependency also changed because apparent activation energies were 201 298 kJ/mol for states, respectively. These results show that pipe diffusion self-diffusion are rate-controlling processes Because such changes deformation mechanism one curve highly unusual, is characteristic feature high-temperature Zircaloy-4. For engineering, observation necessary estimating time-to-rupture by means Monkman–Grant relationship rates deviate relationship.

Steady State Creep Behavior of Functionally Graded Thick Cylinder
Creep behavior of thick-walled functionally graded cylinder consisting of AlSiC and subjected to internal pressure and high temperature has been analyzed. The functional relationship between strain rate with stress can be described by the well known threshold stress based creep law with a stress exponent of five. The effect of imposing non-linear particle gradient on the distribution of creep s...
متن کاملA Mechanism-Based Framework for the Numerical Analysis of Creep in Zircaloy-4
A deformation-mechanism map has been developed for unirradiated zircaloy-4 based on the creep data available from the literature of the last thirty-five years. These data have been analyzed to identify different creep mechanisms, based on the forms of the relationships between stress, temperature and strain rate. This identification allowed the activation energies and other associated creep par...

This paper presents the steady state behavior and maintenance planning of the bleaching system in a paper plant. The paper plant comprises of various systems including feeding, chipping, digesting, washing, bleaching, screening, stock preparation and paper making, etc. One of the most important functionaries of a paper plant, on which quality of paper depends, is the bleaching system, where rem...
متن کاملMeasuring Solid-State Drive Behavior
Solid-state drives (SSDs) are a potentially revolutionary new storage technology, but it is not clear that current generation drives are inherently superior to hard disks. In order to understand the performance of these new technologies, we measure two commercial SSDs, one from Intel, the other from Kingston, on a workload of 4K writes to randomized addresses across the entire address space of ...
